This comes down to a last minute decision about going to Santa Fe or not. Tim’s feeling a little better, but still has no appetite. But, he’s trying what the Kaiser nutritionists suggest: small portions every hour or so, and go for the calories. He really wants to go...and, if nothing else, just to not feel well in a different environment. And, for both of us, to get away just for a little while. There have just been so many phone calls from and to doctors, nurses, clinical trial coordinators, social workers, palliative care doctors, nutritionists... Now we're even answering robo-calls because we can't tell anymore who might be calling that we need to talk to.

We (especially Tim) are scheduled for numerous doctor, lab and procedures right after we get back (assuming we go). Nothing got scheduled for next week, and the advice from everyone is to "Go." We have emergency medical contacts in Santa Fe as well as numerous contacts at Kaiser Oakland. We just hope that there aren’t any big bumps in the week ahead.
